LOGITECH'S FREEPULSE WIRELESS headphones promise wireless music. They use Bluetooth 2.0 to transmit sound wirelessly. The headphones have a neckband with thin flexible rings that encircle your ears to make them fit securely. Logitech uses a high-carbon spring-steel headband to make it light weight and flexible. The Bluetooth receiver plugs into any audio source with a standard 3.5mm jack port. Both the headphones and Bluetooth receiver can be charged using the AC adapter. It takes around 2 hours to charge fully. The right earpiece has the connect button and volume controls. Bass boost feature can also be activated by holding the connect and volume up buttons together.
We were able use the headphones without losing connectivity for up to 30 feet although we did experience hiccups beyond 20 feet. Theoverall sound quality was average, the Bass Boost added some warmth to the sound and the higher frequencies weren't the best, but the vocals sounded clear. Don't expect to get audiophile grade sound here because the Freepulse is more about convenience. The package includes iPod adapters for all generations. The hitch we saw was that the Bluetooth receiver was quite bulky. The battery life is not bad, and we were able to achieve 6 hours of nonstop audio playback at maximum volume. But the price is a bit high for normal wireless headphones especially considering the average sound it offers.
