We begin, logically, with the model 301.*Appearance of headphones pretty original, though not beyond the generally accepted canons (except for the insulators, but they are just below).*Sense of tradition Altec Lansing, there is something in the plastic material of the enclosure of headphones. Something not of the world of professional audio, which came into the world of personal audio, and some elusive "computer-sport" features.

Perhaps this impression contributes primarily translucent plastic.*Well, the color, of course, helps the impression, gray with a metallic shimmer rarely meet in the headphones, usually the color is darker or lighter.*On the outer surface is shiny black bezel with a glossy finish, it was, it would "peek out" from the ear and draw attention to the headphones.*All in all it looks quite unusual, though without much shocking, just the headphones used by design moves, atypical for most major manufacturers, apparently, their appearance was developed design bureau Altec Lansing, and not the Plantronics.

All of the above is true for options with the covers insulators.*Otherwise, these items can not be called, and the manufacturer calls them so.*In general, in working form, being put on the headphones, these same insulators considerably add their unusual appearance, if not surreal.*It is assumed that when you install the headset into your ear isolators will occupy the remaining volume of the ear and thereby reduce the level of ambient noise.*So "elegant" solution, I confess, I encountered the first time, usually a passive noise reduction is achieved by using intratubular insulator.
