Default Full HD TV as a monitor: that tested

    Hi all,

I currently have aSamsung 931BW monitor (TN panel with 2ms afterglow) and am satisfied.

Given the advances intechnology, Full HD: 1920 * 1080 32 "are positioned as a greatalternative to traditional LCD monitors.

Who has taken the step, and we couldlook back on the quality and ease of use?

The problem is that the pitch is much larger on TV than a monitor, if you have enough experience it will go, but I'm not sure this is more comfortable than a computer monitor with a diagonal smaller and a smaller pitch (and placed much closer to you too).

I never come back below 32 ", placed between 60cm to 1m of the screen is nickel, I think even take a second to homogenize my dual screen, the worry is the place on the desktop.

After level adjustment is a bit crappy via HDMI (especially at police and certain colors that "drool"), paradoxically it is nickel VGA connection is "right" to define the basic adjustments.

The 32 "is royal regarding film and games well anchored to the bottom of the chair (about 80 cm), for use as against net office I find this size much more tiring compared to my back (it is true that slab "glossy" my Samsung has to be for many)

Quick question for bouncing, I tried to get my PC to my TV, Samsung 32b530 (HD 1920/1080), via a plug HDMI well recognized, do not worry, I can not jump to have the bureua in full screen, I have a "band" around it.

I have verified I am still in 1920/1080, the TV mode 16 / 9, qqn knows how to switch to full screen

Or enable the option "fit to screen" if it is available in the menu, as is the case on my Samsung B2330HD.

Besides talking about this screen hybrid, I am very disappointed in the quality for office: it's dirty, it drools, it is not that short at all.

I'm Max resolution full HD and HDMI

I bought the TV Sony Bravia KDL-32EX500 as the LCD monitor for my computer. It is connected to my ATI 4850 with a DVI -> HDMI.

I use Linux with its native resolution of 1920 * 1080, the rendering is great for HD movies, and fonts are clear

I tested with a 40 "(Samsung LE40C750). For my part at the beginning we think it's good but I quickly turned on my dual screen 24 "17" more enjoyable.

For cons to switch to a film is impeccable,

To all those who want a TV as a monitor responsiveness and attention to the input lag on TV

I am connected to a 42 "Panasonic and that is happiness regarding games and movies! As for desktop use, I switch on the monitor of my laptop.

By cons, if someone can help me, when I switch on the monitor, either in 720 or 1080p, the picture is wider than the screen. You know how I can fix this?
