With a 'Iunchbox' style vertical design, the ES20 looks good on a desk and even while being carried around. The design is synonymous with other Selphy products; the slots for connecting the memory cards or USB sockets are there at the bottom, and there's a 2.5" LCD on the top But the paper feeding mechanism is different from its predecessors-instead of feeding the paper back and forth, it feeds the paper up and down. The basic photo editing options remain intact, but to make it affordable, Canon has not included the 50-print battery pack in the box. You'll have to buy that separately.
