Canon Pixma iP1880 Printer.
The all black iP1880, though not as compact as the Lexmark 2645, packs quite a punch especially given its price. On build quality the iP1880, for example, is streets ahead of its rivals in this test. Once your PC's operating system has detected the printer simply load up the drivers from the accompanying CD and shoot out your prints. But do make sure there is plenty of space behind the printer if you do not want the prints to fall all over the place. This is because of one of the few deficiencies in the machine's design: the lack of an output tray.
Unlike the Epson C90, the iP 1880 does not work with its top cover (lid) open thereby preventing foreign particles from entering the printer. The iP1880 supports manual duplex printing; this means you need to manually flip the paper in case you need to print it on both sides.
The prints that rolled out of this printer occasionally bore a slight magenta tint. The gray scale block was also light as compared to the Epson C90. But, overall, colour reproduction was pretty neat. You can expect at least near photo quality prints with this printer.
