Samsung PN63A760 is the largest flat screen HDTV, we reviewed this year. At 63 inches diagonally, it competes with the largest plasma from Panasonic, LG, and Pioneer - this stratospheric screen size, where the LCD is nowhere to be found, at least south of the $ 5000 price. Samsung plasma behemoth it is loaded with many functions, and we expect this set at the same solid image quality we've seen in small models, such as PN50A650. But something was lost in the expansion. Samsung has great difficulty matching the image quality of its competitors in our comparison, mainly due to its less black-and-black and mixed bag of color accuracy. At the end of its set of features and styling may be the day for those who are less focused on image quality, but also home theater fans who want a giant flat screen, you can do better.
Design
There is nothing understated design about design PN63A760. Aside from the fact that God the great TV, you have something that the upper and lower edges of the frame to bear the red tint that disappears on the black closer to the screen. Unlike other red-tinted "Touch color model is Samsung goes one better to stand, which is also painted red. And, as always, if you do not like red on the TV, you are in luck; Samsung does not make any other colors to its lofty goal of plasma. We are not the biggest fans of this design, but we can see how some people might be red, and his thin that the mixture without too much attention, especially in a dark room.
Fetures
Especially as we have come to expect from the higher end Samsung HDTVs, PN63A760 has more opportunities than the dot-com general director. One of the most intriguing feature in our view, is to add "Smooth" image mode that similar dejudder video processing in the 120Hz LCD screens. In addition to Pioneer Kuro plasma, so Samsung is the only plasma we have seen with dejudder processing. Check Performance section for the full scoop. Like most other LCD and plasma TV models on sale in 2008, PN63A760 also native resolution of 1920x1, 080 (aka 1080p).
