Looks like Polaroid has declared a ship date for the Polaroid Pogo. Or can I say month? According to Like Cool, Polaroid will ship the Pogo immediate Digital Camera next month. If you recall, the Pogo was the integration of a digital camera with the Zink portable printer. The Zink, which stood for “zero ink” prints a smidge-proof, water-resistant, fade resistant print with a no ink, heat activated process. Polaroid has been waiting for this growth (pardon the pun) so they could lastly get back to what their core business was … immediate print pictures.
The Pogo will give a 5 mega pixel image, but unhappily, no zoom lens. It will comprise a 3” color LCD screen and expanded SD memory. It will print a 2×3” digital print in about a minute. Price of the Pogo will run about $200, with 30 sheets the Zink paper to cost $12.99.
