With everything turning digital of late, the humble photo frame could not be left behind. In fact, when we reviewed the Philips digital photo frame last year, it could only display your photos. Recently however, with more advanced models coming up, like the one reviewed here, the Genius PF-A01, you can also listen to music and watch videos. The Genius PF-A01 sports a design that looks remarkably similar to an actual photo frame. Although the oak coloured border lends a wooden finish, the build and look does feel a little cheap, it's a good minimalist design.

The device needs to be controlled via a bundled remote control. For first time users, controlling the device via this remote control might prove a little confusing. The Genius PF-A01 has a 1 OAin TFT LCD that is capable of displaying images at a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 can play MP3 files. The 6-in-1 memory card reader supports SO, Memory Stick, CompactFlash and a couple of other formats, or you can copy photos to the 128MB of internal memory. The quality of the screen is reasonably fair, and did a good job of showing off our favourite pictures. Unfortunately, the downside is that Genius PF-A01 does not run on batteries and the build quality of the device is a little questionable. The PF-A01 is priced at Rs.13,999 and comes with one year warranty.
