The fronts have two identical woofers, one implemented for the mid-bass and the other for the bass. The Cerrametallic cones are made of ceramic and aluminium, the brushed aluminium surface is then beautifully accentuated with copper finish. With grilles on, they can be diminutive and melting in the home decor, and with grilles off they can be conversation starters - depends how you prefer them to be. All the speakers have a bi-wiring feature. Sensibly, the fronts are rear ported but the centre is front ported so that it can be placed closer to the wall. Port of the front speaker is very large, making it an essentially a bass-heavy design.
Sensitivity of all the speakers is much higher than the usual standard of 90dB. The fronts and the centre are at whopping 96dB and the surrounds stand at 93dB sensitivity. Just for your information, a speaker with 93dB sensitivity needs half power to emanate the same sound level as that with the speaker having 90dB sensitivity, similarly a 96dB sensitivity speaker will do the same job with one fourth the power input than the 90dB one. On the other hand, generally, high-sensitivity has its own pitfalls. The speakers generally sound harsh, forward and shouty. No wonder many audiophile speakers have low-sensitivity like 86 or 87dB.
