The drivers are about 1.5 inches in diameter and seem to be made out of lightweight aluminium that can probably output everything above 500Hz. The drivers are housed in semi-circular domes that actually make the speakers look like light bulbs in certain lighting conditions. Each speaker outputs 5-watts of power so you probably won't be able to keep this unit too far away from you; more of a bedside table device.

The main unit only has a power button. volume buttons and a power indicator on the curvy front panel. The rest of the controls, which are primarily the transport controls and iPod navigation functions all lie on the remote so losing the controller can pose to be a problem.
