As Al said, I did all that. He was one of the first, which we saw on our way around the show, and it was in that day's winning products for me.

Nuvu is truly unique take on the concept of a portable projector screen, and given that the quality of small projectors are starting to become available, I would say, they are on their entry into the market entirely.

Traditional or projector screens affixed to the wall (potentially unsightly in the inner mechanism), or attached to the roof to put down the request.

If you have a permanent fixture, you will not be interested in doing so. If you do not have the space or unwilling to abandon the whole wall you are looking for in one of the more transient screen options, and it happens when Nuvu in.

The traditional list of the bottom of the screen should be firmly attached to the ceiling, is not a small job in itself, and it is also difficult to get right technically, as a projector screen to be flat and smooth, so that the creases never appear on the projected image. To smooth screen you "tension" it, that you stretch it around (not practical to roll down the screen), or the weight of it on the bottom (not the best tensioning mechanism).

In Nuvu solution is a foldaway portable screen, which overcomes these issues.

Obviously, there is a ceiling mount. For Nuvu disk drive is about the size of a large coin. Two of the disks in the ceiling to provide all necessary support, you should hang with. When the screen is not present on disk, virtually invisible.

Then there on the screen itself. It comes folded in a round protective cover that can be put out of sight anywhere. When this was reflected in case it tightly to open in the distinctive oval you see in the photo. At the edge of the screen a spring steel band so once on the screen in the form it automatically tensioned and smooth. As soon as the opening screen you just hang it from its ceiling magnets and viola, a home theater go!

In support of the material thickness is sufficient to block the daylight, so you can hang it from the window if you want, and there is an optional tripod to hold the screen, if you decide that you really want portability, and not screwing metal discs in your ceiling. You even think that the folding screen will introduce all sorts of folds in the picture, but I see no obvious of them is studying it - a combination of material and tensioning screen as effectively suppress them.

The best price is. On screens are available in three sizes and the top 85 inches diagonal model goes about 350 pounds, which is low to mid-price range of comparable size screens from other manufacturers.

The photo shows on the screen as open and packaged forms (With apologies Nuvu - it seems that you can snap a picture of the attention to the "secure" digital camera…)
