Three major electronics manufacturers have joined forces to promote plasma technology throughout Europe. Matsushita (Panasonic), Hitachi and Pioneer are driving the initiative, which began with the study of the market and explore how consumer perceive LCD and plasma screens.

In tagline on the site is "We are not talking plasma TV better. You are.". Check some statistics that they reflect:

65% favor of plasma over LCD for the best color quality
61% say the quality of plasma provides optimal sharpness
62% indicates that the plasma has a better response time
72% think plasma have better quality indicators black
It is clear that these companies want to increase awareness of plasma technology, as they are investing billions of dollars to get their products from production units. The site looks a bit biased, though, if you check some of the images that are being used as an example of an LCD and plasma television you can see that an LCD is an unusual low resolution.

This site is not less interesting because it has a lot of information on these two technologies, as well as specifying certain myths associated with flat screen panel. As mentioned above statistics are based on market surveys, which were conducted company called Synovate. They interviewed more than 600 customers across the United Kingdom, France and Germany, in accordance with the certified domestic use.
