I was looking for a solution for the wireless transmission of HD quality movies to me (only for their own) plasma. I was out of luck so far, but I did find some cool PC2TV device.

"PC2TV" allows you to broadcast your PC screen (movies, web pages or any) of any wifi allows a standard PC to the TV. The unit connects to your main display via VGA, DVI, component, composite or TV connections.

Even if it was not the result I was looking for, I think that is very useful in their own right. Maybe sit in the living room with my laptop (which this week has taught me, I really need to upgrade), and then instantly share web pages or videos on the big screen.
