This is a very cool idea. It is a small portable scanner to scan business cards into the computer. I gather a dozen or so business cards on each trip, all of which eventually disorder in my top draw, set in a kind of last-in first registration system. I made a search and found that the average businessman spends 28 minutes a day looking for a lost part of the information, but I was unable to find any statistics on the average businesswoman. I am sure that this is far less, but…

In one of these gadgets HP, as you get a new card, you can just feed it into a miniature scanner, and it is stored directly on your computer. In the scanned images can be converted to text using the integrated optical character recognition technology, and can be imported directly into perspective - if you are still using this dangerous mail client, but I think you can import scanned vCards to another client rather easily.

These tiny, black-and-white scanners cost only $ 70, including cable, software and carrying case. Tell the boss you spend half an hour a day looking for lost information, and he or she will either sack you, or buy one of these, as shot.
