I must say that AMD has disappointed me in the last year or two. I once one guy AMD, and most of the computers in the home have run some form of Athlon chips. Nevertheless, my main gaming PCs and notebooks and start on Intel processors. It seems that at every turn AMD simply plays catch-up. Did I mention that they have announced that they are preparing to move to 45nm process for its new chips?
I really do not want to speak ill of AMD, as I always secretly hope that with each new announcement they could return to their former glory. They are referring to the lower power consumption and cooler-working chips, as the two main reasons for moving to a smaller process. This is a logical progression for them to take this step, but again Intel beat them before impact.
