D-Link Quadband DIR-855 Wireless N Router is the newest wireless router which is designed to eliminate the bandwidth problems associated with streaming media around the house. The DIR-855 employs the ingenious approach of supporting true concurrent 802.11n transmissions over both 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels simultaneously. This means that there will be two independent wireless signals and two independent full bandwidths.

In order to make this work, you’ll need a wireless chipset capable of detecting both channels, or you can buy D-Link’s DWA-160 USB adapter to take advantage of the technology. The device also has 5gigabit Ethernet ports, Dual Active Firewall (SPI, NAT), Green Ethernet technology, backwards compatibility with 802.11a/g and an OLED display.
