Hitachi proudly introduced his new three-dimensional display. The prototype shown at the Hitachi headquarters in Japan was still under construction, but already at an advanced stage. On display is both small and portable size, but the model weighs about 2.20 pounds.
The stereoscopic vision 3D effect is achieved by combining the group mirrors, which produce at the holographic image at the top of the liquid crystal display. At the moment, this technology is being developed for use in schools showing of the museum in all their 3D glory.
Hitachi researcher Rieko Otsuka said she hopes that the technology used in mobile devices, such as mobile phones. It ensures that Hitachi will not stop work on the 3D display until it is ready for the mobile market.
There are also other educational uses planned, but what can be better than opening your cell phone and shows 3D-image to your friends, or maybe even watch videos in 3D?
