This year's CES might have been a tad low-profile, but it still saw more than its share of interesting products. Near the top of the list must be MediaStreet's eMotion Solar Portable Media Player. As its name indicates, this device runs on solar energy, which according to the company, makes it the world's first solar-powered portable media player. It comes with 1 GB on board and can support SD cards of up to 2 GB capacity.

It supports most popular audio formats, A VI video and JPEG, BMP and GIF image formats, as well as .TXT for books. However, what makes it really interesting is the fact that it comes with a USB connector that can allow users to use the player to recharge cell phones, laptops, PDAs, digital cameras and other lithium battety operated products. All of which makes it a media player and charger rolled into one. Handy, even though some might blanch at the US$ 169 price tag!
