PART DESKTOP MONITOR AND PART HDTV, ViewSonic's DiamaniDuo NX2232w is intended for use in any environment where desktop real estate is scarce. Although it performs better as a TV than a PC monitor, it will still handle most of your everyday computing needs. Unfortunately, the stand lacks adjustability and is barely able to support the 22-inch LCD panel.

The NX2232w's cabinet is done up in highgloss black, featuring textured bezels and a touch of silver trim. The bottom bezel contains a pair of integrated 5-watt speakers and the power switch. The speakers are better than most found in monitors but could use a subwoofer to add a little more bass. Situated along the top bezel are six silver function buttons that let you change channels, adjust the speaker volume, and change image settings via the on-screen display menu system.

My biggest gripe with this model has to do with the stand, which has no adjustability at all. I was also disappointed with the sturdiness of the stand assembly, which looked top-heavy to me. The NX2232w is covered by a one-year warranty, which includes parts, labor, and backlighting. Despite its poorly designed stand and a few performance issues, the Viewsonic DiamaniDuo NX2232w is still a good choice for anyone who wants an affordable all-in-one PC monitor/ HDTV combo.
