Epson picture mate PM 270 mobile I photo printer has a unique 'carry it around' design which looks attractive in its grey and white body. Part of the PM series, the PM 270 comes with some improvements over the Epson's PM 210 in terms of picture quality and speed. The PM 270 uses inkjet printing technology combined with Epson's own Photo Enhance technology to give you prints that are almost the same as printed by a professional photo lab. It does come with a multi-card reader slot which supports CF, MMC and SD memory cards. It also has Bluetooth printing support, though you need to purchase the Bluetooth dongle separately. Built-in PictBridge slot allows you to take prints from supported devices.
The onboard 3.6" LCD display helps when using PictBridge so that you can preview the image and make adjustments if necessary. The printer was ready to print in about 16 seconds; and it gave a 4X6" print in 1 min and 32 secs flat with a PC. Whereas while printing data from a memory card and PictBridge slot it took around 1 min 7 secs and 33 secs respectively. Overall a great portable printing solution if you only need 4" X 6" and 5"X7" prints, but still has a high cost per print as compared to a photo lab.
