The Epson Stylus R290 is an inkjet photo printer that uses 6-color printing technology. It looks great in the twin-tone, black-silver body and gives great results too. It comes with a handy direct disc printing tray, so you can use it to print images or designs directly on printable CDs/DVDs. This eliminates the cumbersome procedure of printing out labels and sticking them on CDs. We tested for both speed and quality on a variety of paper with our usual test images. The results were remarkable. It gave great quality prints and took lesser time compared to its counterparts.

We got a full photo quality, borderless A4 size color printout in 3 min and 24 secs. The print quality had amazing precision and sharpness. A normal quality borderless color A4 print took 1 min and 45 secs, while the draft option took 17 seconds. Text printing was also blazingly fast; it printed an A4 sheet of text in draft quality in an astounding 3 seconds. Though a high quality text print took about one minute.
Overall, this printer is great for both home and small office use; you'll get great prints on various media, and you'll get them really, really fast.
