SSD'S are becoming very popular for storage. The advantages are lower weight, compact size and fast response. Increasing usage is also driving the price down and hence increasing adoption. Kingston SSDnow V+ series has got a good response from the market.
The flash memory used in the V WE SAY Fast read speed, can be used as an external HOD

The drive has a smaller footprint compared to a nonnal hard drive unit. Moreover the latest unit came with a new interesting feature. Along with the disc, the kit included cables and bracket needed to fit the drive into a desktop PC and a program that can copy the
contents of your entire hard disk onto the new SSD in one go. Additionally there is a case, which can fit the entire drive inside the computer and connect using a USB port. This makes connecting to desktops as well as laptops a breeze.
The main advantage of an SSD is speed. We installed Windows 7 operating system on the SSD, while comparing startup speeds, the computer took 52 seconds to boot up when using a normal hard disk. It took only 35 seconds when we used the SSD instead. Files copied at a speed of I5MB/sec on the hard disk and 24MB/sec on the SSD. It's also silent, and with no moving parts it should be more reliable than a traditional hard disk. By modern standards 5 12GB is decent space, so this SSD would be widely used for a variety oftasks. It is slightly expensive per gigabyte, but prices are on a downward trend.
