    le Rampage Extreme II is a board focused towards gaming enthusiasts delivering ultimate performance as per the manufacturer. The new X58 motherboard has features like RC Bluetooth, USB BIOS Flashback, Extreme ROG OC Kit, Connect ROG Extreme Engine Digi +, Probe It, CPU Level Up etc to leaving us interested. The specs remain impressive in the connectivity score too. Based on Intel X58 chipset Rampage III Extreme has 6 DIMM memory slots which support DDR3 RAM up to 2200MHz.

    In addition the board has seven SATA 3GB/s ports, 4 PCIe 2.0 support, 2 USB 3.0/2.0 at back and 9 x USB 2.011.1 ports at the front. The board supports NVIDIA 3- Way SLI andATI CrossFireX Technology. The motherboard performance is not only impressive, but it also uses very sophisticated technology. The Rampage Extreme III has a jumper on board, which activates the Excellent performer, outstanding features LN2-mode saving the system from the "cold boot bug" (prevents system boot at temperatures below freezing). The ASUS TweakIt iROG processor now can be controlled by a Bluetooth device. We connected a HTC Desire via Bluetooth and were impressed by the control offered over voltages and frequencies.

    Collating the synthetic benchmarking test results, it becomes clear, the ASUS Rampage Extreme III is a dream that come true for enthusiasts. Not only the performance of the motherboard is impressive, but it also has the latest technology. We like the CrossFireX, 3- Way SLI support, an EZ Clear CMOS button and the handy debug LED. Other highlights include Q-Fan Plus, the high-quality sound solution and the Intel XMP support (Intel Extreme Memory Profiles). ASUS provides Rampage Extreme III with a "dream" overclocker. Not only the enormous power, but also the generous feature set is impressive. In addition, thread handling, processing quality and delivery remains superlative.     I have a weakness for the X58 platform and Core i7 processors that go along with it. And you know what, it is hard to believe that the first Core i7 chipset which were published long ago. I mean, the Core i7 965 Extreme and X58 chipset was released in 2008, on 03 November to be exact.
