Intel Corp. demonstrated its second generation design classmate PC - inexpensive, Internet-oriented, child size notebook computing platform designed for punishment dished-states in the school environment and expand access for 95% of children worldwide who are currently deprived of the benefits of such technology.
This new classmate PCs based on Intel Celeron M processor with 802.11b / g Wi-Fi and mesh network capabilities, top line models will feature 9 inch LCD screen, extended service life of batteries, 512 MB memory of 30 GB HDD storage and integrated webcam. It supports Microsoft Windows XP and Linux versions of the operating environment and will come pre-installed with software stack of education available in more than eight languages.
