Thread: Microsoft Office 15: the new office suite unveiled

Office 15, the new Microsoft Office Suite, could be unveiled at CESin early January 2012 for publication of the first beta release inlate January.


The fact is that according toWinRumors, Microsoft prepare a first beta of Office 15 by the end ofJanuary. The Redmond company should distribute a few days earlierpre-beta as a technology preview at CES 2012, the grand salon in LasVegas to be held from January 10 to 13 next event, which would alsoallow Microsoft to the beta launch of its new operating systemWindows 8.




Little information has so far filteredunder Office 15. Just do we know that this suite will offer a newinterface. But Windows Explorer 8 includes a ribbon interface, itwould be strange to see Microsoft abandon it for Office 15. Aredesign of the interface band is however quite possible.


It would seem that Microsoft teams areinspired to design the interface Metro Office 15, including theOutlook messaging software which catches were filtered in the alphaversion.


One can imagine that Office 15 takesadvantage of the touch, more so than its predecessors. This would bequite logical given that Windows 8, also planned for 2012, givespride to the Touch interface Metro in particular due to thepopularity of the Tablets.
