Canon today presented a compactdocument scanner, the image Formula DR-C125. According to Canon, theDR-C125 scanner advances information accessibility, management, andcollaboration and is useful for a variety of office environments,having but not bounded to financial offices, healthcare facilities,legal offices, and government agencies.
The DR-C125 scanner characteristicsintuitive face-up feeding on top feeding and top eject in an uprightplan, resulting in a small operational footprint, creating it idealfor space-constrained desktops or as well mobile cart usage. It evencontains a Full Auto mode, via which a single click adjusts multiplefeature settings to deliver "an optimal scanned image."
The DR-C125 scanner can scan documentsin color, black-and-white, or gray scale at speeds of up to 25pages-per-minute or 50 images per minute. The DR-C125 scanner canscan both slopes of a document in a single pass. It can reliablymanage a broad variety of document types, containing long documentsup to 118 inches in length.
The scanner as well characteristicsuser-selectable paper paths for scanning items such as thickdocuments, plastic ID cards, embossed cards and driver licenses. TheDR-C125 scanner includes image processing features such as BackgroundSmoothing to improve legibility, Auto Resolution to automaticallyadjust the output resolution, Auto Color Detection, and ShadowCropping.
The DR-C125 arrives bundled on thenovel Canon CaptureOnTouch software, on a replanned GUI for improvedusability. CaptureOnTouch enables users to configure repetitive scanjobs for rapid and simple access. It can as well improvecollaboration by conveniently routing scanned images directly tocloud applications such as Ever note and Microsoft Share Point.
CaptureOnTouch can automaticallyconvert scanned images into PDF/A format, as well as MicrosoftPowerpoint format. The Canon DR-C125 scanner is as well bundled onWindows ISIS/TWAIN drivers and a Mac TWAIN driver for simpleintegrating with third-party Enterprise Content Management software.
