D-Link went green - updating two of its Wi-Fi routers to use less energy and thus reduce your carbon footprint. Both DIR-655 and recently began DIR-855 is now Green Ethernet technology. This firmware upgrade can be called free and deliver up to 40% energy savings thus helping to reduce home electricity bill. This energy-saving technology automatically determines the status and length of cable, and then adjusts output accordingly.
