Memorex Ultra Travel drive is another addition to the recent crop of HDDs, but it certainly is different. For starters, it has an ergonomic shape and comes with three color faceplates-enough to entice fashion conscious customers. The Anthracite grey body remains common to all, then you have green and white plates for the 160 GB variant, orange and white for the 80 GB variant, and blue and black for the 120 GB variant.
The rubberized area around the edges ensures that you get a firm grip. Interestingly, it sports a unique LED indicator that goes red when connected to a USB1.1 port and green when connected to a USB 2.0 port.

Compared to other drives this one is a bit bulkier at 188 gm, but performs excellently. It scored an impressive 14 Mbps data transfer write speed and a more impressive 17 Mbps read speed across our HD-Tach and EVEREST Disc benchmarks. Compared to the Freecom ToughDrive, it is faster, but slower compared to Western Digital's Passport.
