The choice of a PC case depends on what you're going to place inside it. One may either prefer an entry-level case to fit in a budget PC or a high end one to house a gaming rig or a server. The new Centurion 590 from Cooler Master is a mid-tower case that is targeted at the upper mainstream audience and offers a bunch of handy features and excellent cooling. Let's find out what they are and how cool Cooler Master's new Centurion is.

The Centurion 590 is all black and sports a meshed front bezel inlayed with foam-based dust filters from within. The entire bezel is lined up with 5.25-inch bay covers except for the top portion which features an I/O panel comprising two USB ports, front audio jacks, FireWire port and power button. To install the drives, you first have to remove the bezel. Since the case features a tool-free design, you don't need screws to fasten the drives into the bays. You can fit up to four hard drives in the removable cage that occupies three of the bottom 5.25-inch bays. A 120 mm intake LED fan (1200 RPM) fitted in front of the cage cools the hard drives and is visible through the meshed bezel.

The installation of the expansion cards is a breeze too-you simply have to release the lever, insert the card into the appropriate slot and snap the lever back in place. You'll need a screwdriver only to fit the motherboard. A bunch of dozen cable ties are provided for tying up the loose cables neatly after you're done with assembling the machine. Apart from the cool looks and design, the Centurion 590 features more than required provisions for fans. Now keep track of the total number of fans you can fit in this case. In addition to the LED fan, a 120 mm rear fan is also fitted on the rear to suck out the hot air. Plus there are provisions for two fans each on top of the case and the side panel.

If you counted six, you're right! The provisions on the side panel are made such that the fans fitted will suck in air over the graphics card and the CPU area. The fans can be of any size ranQing from 80 mm to 140 mm.
