The Samsung SyncMaster 2243 NWX is a 22-inch TFT monitor which has stylish design. It has a feather touch control panel in the front, right-bottom corner which makes the TFT panel stand a class apart from other conventional TFT monitors. The monitor has an image aspect ratio of 16:10 with a dynamic image contrast ratio of 8000:1. Unfortunately, this TFT panel is not equipped with a DVI input, which leaves you with a regular D-Sub connector for graphics cards with analog output. It doesn't have any built-in speakers either.

The body is richly designed with a glossy black finish exterior, and so the aesthetic appeal is the only factor that stands out for us. Its black glossy body also invites cleaning the bezel regularly as dust collects easily. Images on the TFT panel are sharp and clear, making this monitor ideal for basic computer applications, gaming and watching movies. The viewing angle is a good 170 degrees, but tends to change the colors from bright to darkish when viewed at extreme angles. The feather touch control panel is very responsive, and can be used without applying any force. But it has a drawback-the control panel is very glossy and has printed button labels, but in the dark, you would have to search for each control as they aren't backlit. You have to actually bend over to see the control panel at eye-level to change any settings. Another downside of this monitor is the badly designed swivel base as it is very flimsy and unstable, causing the monitor to sway at the slightest touch.
