After introducing the B206 in Spain, including an HDMI output, Asus has done a new model of its nettop, the Asus Eee Box B208, improving some of its benefits towards achieving a better performance as a media player.
First, we need a new processor, the Intel Atom 330, which follows the line of low characteristic of these computers, but offers two cores for better performance. So does the ATI Radeon HD4350 graphics card with 256 MB of RAM and HDMI output.
More surprising is that the operating system that comes with the Asus Eee Box B208 is Windows Vista, especially considering that only has 1 GB of RAM and would need at least 2 GB for a decent pay. This is probably due to the fact that their specifications are too high to go to Microsoft to include it with XP.
However, its primary function, the media player, the Eee provides the software that comes bundled Cinema. Storage offers a hard drive can choose capacities of 160, 250 or 320 GB, and will also include four USB ports and Wi-Fi connectivity.
More curious is the internal battery that provides one with which we can use it without power for a short time. For now Asus has not announced what will be the price of this model, but is probably a little higher than the 400 euros it costs the B206.
