Two schemes for key placements on keyboards. The QWERTY scheme is more popular, and gets its name from the arrangement ofletters in the first row of the keyboard. The Dvorak scheme was introduced by August Dvorak, who arrived at the placement based on his observations about the frequency of letter usage and human physiology.
