High-end gaming mice are a rage in the gaming fraternity. We just got our hands on one such high-end gaming mouse from Steelseries, the Ikari Laser mouse, which amazed us. This mouse has got everything-excellent ergonomics, a firm grip, and technology that you won't see on any other mouse. The mouse has been shaped so as to accommodate predominant methods of grip used mostly by FPS and RTS gamers; namely Swipe, Claw and Palm.

Using this mouse was simple; a single click on the button on top and I could easily switch between the high and low DPI modes. The effortless on-the-go DPI switching also helps a lot while playing FPS games. Performance is ultra-precise, thanks to the laser and the high precision sensors that this device comes fitted with. Other highlights are the programmable macros and custom settings. A gamer can increase the APM (actions per minute) count using these settings.

The only quirk I found in this device was with its feet. The mouse feet allow it to glide smoothly over different surfaces. Though they are large, the depth of the feet is less. I also felt that the mouse is suitable only for right -handed users. A perfect (albeit expensive) gaming mouse. Overall, it's a mustbuy for the hard core gamer who makes no Compromises.
