Default Looking for my ultraportable "perfect."

    Hello everyone!

I need your knowledge and informed opinions.

So here, I have to buy a laptop to replace my Toshiba, heavy, thick and unpleasant.

This computer would function only web surfing and writing writing. In other words I do not need something overpowering, just enough to run 3 / 4 tabs, text editor and music simultaneously.

However I am demanding on other aspects:

    - A screen of 12 to 14 inches of suitable quality.
    - Lightweight, thin and well built. Is to win with me always, so far as this is not a burden ready to break on first impact.
    - A good or excellent self. I hate fall bay battery.
    - A breakdown thoughtful and silent. Noise and ventilation hatches are my enemies, particularly those located on the lower surface and j'obstrue when I put the computer on my lap or my bed.
    - A good keyboard / trackpad. I hate trackpads Rikiki everything and I type so much text and a good keyboard is essential.

Indeed this model seems very interesting, it fills almost all my requirements.

The only thing I could reproach him are his many vents on the bottom but I'm able to survive.

I think I'll go on this one.

    Thank you for your reply.

I leave on the Vaio S or Y, less than 1000 €, but no backlight, no matte slab (see here a few weeks for the S), but good resolution as possible, so better for surfing.

The keyboard of the 11 "may seem skimpy but I do not think it's unpleasant to use with practice.

In addition, the Y should not heat at all in view of its extreme low consumption processor.

Or a Toshiba Portege home, there's one around 950 €, matte tile, good resolution, low weight, very good battery life, pleasant and perf of the processor, who will pay can be heated by a somewhat larger also the Y. It also owns more than one optical drive.

The Portege R700 may also interest you. Not sure this is better than the Asus. Lighter than cons, but I'm not convinced of its ventilation system.

At first glance, it pleases me that Asus!

Ah yes, I did not pay attention to the lack of optical drive on the Asus. But as you say, it's always good to take if there is a way to have one. For the Portégé was still a very very thin optical drive, so it does not have an extraordinarily fine machine.

Indeed a physical point of view is not quite the lenovo ultraportable.

Too bad though, because as stated xCT their strength is recognized and I heard some excellent things on their keyboards.

However, as I seek first and foremost a machine that I could carry with me always starts at 2.3 kg making.

Finally, forget the Linux for any PC graphics card with switchable.

Otherwise, laptops that I tested, the Asus has always been the UL30 Reccord independently with sessions of 12 hours in office, or 10 hours of surfing. But hey, it is no longer brand new and it's a Culver.
