Thread: Opening your WiFi password

I only moved into a novel place and the owner's son has moved in alongside me. I've only talked to him in passing, appears as a nice guy. But tonight he asked for my Wifi password. I said him yes as I was grabbed of safety and his Uncle was standing up there hence I encountered forced also. He said he would email me later to acquire it. But I'm thinking I shouldn't afford it to him. I don't experience this person. I worry about my banking information and I don't experience if they can drudge into my computer.


I kind appear as well why should he acquire it for free when I'm low income only acquiring by and I have to pay for it. I don't experience everything in the tech stuff thus was wishing your thought. I'm supposing it's a bad idea. Now I will experience bad for saying no. He asked courteously but it was as if it was a afforded that I would only hand it over.


But I have to tell when I was appearing to rent a basement suite a lot of the time internet was admitted in the rent. Thus I guess this means the landlord's hand over the password so their tenants can log on/have access? Thus may be this isn't a big deal? Can someone please advise me?

Agreed, and for everything you know, he could be running Torrents or some other high bandwidth crap, and sucking down most of your bandwidth, going away you with small for your own use, if your paying for your internet yourself, why should someone else be using most of it and not contributing a dime towards it?

If his Dad or Uncle are the landlord/owner of the place, may be he should have Them set up a wireless connection for him to use, rather than leeching off the neighbors.

Hmmm....and even his sister is moving in in 6 months hence she will use it also. It's only kind a bothering cause they have the money evidently like they purchased the house and I'm on disability attempting to create ends meet and I pay for it. And I only worry about security and the other reasons you guys referred. Guess the owner/landlord won't be impressed with me.

Honestly I wouldn't contribute it with them if they can give their own and given your limited income. If the landholder has a trouble with it or more briefly if his kids have a trouble on that, that's his trouble, if he keeps it versus you in anyway... there are modes of taking care of that.

If he is a expensive bastard, he'll realize and appear past it. But you can do as NLM suggested.

I don't realize everything in the tech jargon thus here's a link displaying you the router I have. It's for the internet and HDTV through fiber optic network. Do you think using this we can do as you suggested? If so how do I go about this? I'm hoping I understand your explanation.

Please, In doing it this way it sounds as I'm however liable for the link they'd be using. Am I correct?
