Antecedently, buyers were permitted to use OEM licenses to their own computers supplied the licenses were purchased with qualifying hardware. Still, the Windows OEM System Builder EULA now prohibits buyers from using OEM licenses to computers they are constructing for themselves, friends, family members, etc.
