    Default Configuration suggestion

I am planning to build an HTPC. Themachine should be capable to play full HD with my LCD and even becapable to be with continuous active way for days answer few timesweeks. It should not overheat and shutdown. Most Probably to beapplied for internet, seeing HD movies and constant download.

Imean to setup an i5 2500 on 8 GB RAM and 2 hard disk drive. 140 GBSSD for OS and 1TB hard disk drive to transfer. I even have my eye onCooler master Hyper TX3 CPU cooler. Everything I am appearing for arethe lacking links. A thoroughly micro or mini ATX cabinet. And I ameven in a dilemma of either going for a graphic card or should I putto the Intel motherboard that has HDMI off. Later I am not intogaming I am thinking versus the graphic card for 2 reasons. a- costand b- heating. Please suggest on connections and costs.

The quotes sections are self - contradicting. Earlier filling up That template determine what you are going to construct, PC or HTPC? For HTPC is effort and HTPC can not run without graphics card if you have not acquired AMD APUs.

May be I am a small confused. Later HTPC are comparatively small in form factor. I am assuming I require an HTPC. Right now I am applying a 17" laptop that has been linked to my LCD through HDMI and I mostly watch movies or tele serials with TV through laptop. My laptop has recently began to shutdown because of overheating concerns particularly when I am seeing full HD being streamed through HDMI.

The laptop has 512 MB graphic card. Like you can watch from the images affiliated the laptop features at 60 degrees. It is presently sitting with a cooler master pad but that has not decided much. Also if I am to purchase a PC on a little cabinet someplace with the size of an HTPC I am okay with that concept. But my primary reason to purchase is seeing HD movies as well as long term reliability.

No requirement for a separate cooler. There are few half height coolers "Produced for HTPC" and they are not that good above the stock cooler. Waste of money essentially. Neither the Llano APUs require one. Airing is vital no matter whatever type of system you apply. Also in a closed space there should few place for heat to escape, as the rear of your cupboard or too.

The trouble on those silver stone cabinets is that their depth is more as compared to my limited space. I cannot surpass depth by 254mm. Thus I may be am appearing for a standing cabinet or a smaller size if laying flat. The rear of my cupboard is wood and nailed to the wall.

The just alternatives for airing are to hold doors open when I am applying it and through the small hole with the top produced for cables the hole is large in diameter. Today when I am sleeping I have to lose the doors. Although I am even viewing holding the CPU in the LCD cupboard. Watch images joined. Its only it will acquire congested if I have both there.

Its only that I a unable to suit the jigsaw puzzle together. Out of curiosity. Will the Asus F1A75-M mobo and the Corsair CX430v2 fit in a micro ATX.

Yep we both are doing work hard and I have to leave for Delhi in a short though. Today later I am appearing to setup a 3.5 " HDD I assume I would need a mini-itx board. Today do we have any in Asus. I have had a bad experience with gigabyte.

Besides I see movies with bose headphones thus I do not require 7.1. Any other good mini-itx boards aside from Asus will assist also. And if I have to understand correctly. Despite acquiring a 150 w PSU with the cabinet. I delete that one and setup the corsair one. am i correct? why do I require a higher watt PSU????

The AMD processor has graphics so that is even covered. I would quite choose an external WiFi adapter if I can not detect that Asus Mobo. Thanks anyway for giving me the uses of those slots. speaking of Mobo. No one in india is selling them at least not online. I will however require to examine with stores. Any other options for mobo besides the 2 discussed. Even please examine the PSU section with the cabinet and confirm if the corsair will suit in that gap.

No. Corsair CX430v2 will NOT suit in CM Elite 100. I had referred that Elite 100 will need Flex ATX PSU. Super micro produces these...again tricky to detect in India. CM might bundle theirs, but CM's PSUs are not safe. May be they have packed a good one for this, but I would not comment because their history is shady as far as general ATX PSUs are pertained.

Sorry you did refer about the PSU before but my mind skipped it. Today we have two matters with this cabinet. the psu unit and the mobo which are hard to find. to be honest i liked the Mobo and i would as to purchase that one, but the PSU is what I am worried about. Thus either I will have to buy another flex ATS PSU of about 200-250w or alter my cabinet to another brand of similar size. Damn this is complicated.
