Hello, I have a week are a P701 of schneker and have to buy from me, the Razer Tiamat 7.1 Headset. My problem is that my laptop unfortunately has no 7.1 analog output and I so do not connect the headset. on I now ask This way if you a good 7.1 external sound card knows the 7.1 over 5 stereo plug has. I am no expert on such things but I have recently published a test to external sound solutions in PC Games Read hardware rated as extremely good but also very expensive here was the Audio trax Dr. DAC Prime sound card. Hello, how sure are you that it is indeed a genuine 7.1 headset is? When headphones makes much less sense than home theater systems The distances to the ear are simply too small to get just by different drivers a really good surround sound. Not for nothing is in high end solutions such as the Beyer dynamic Head zone system with the MMX set 300 on a simulation. This has in headphones ultimately more sense. So I had look more for a good external sound card with simulation. Something like an Astro MixAmp and then as either a stereo headset or to use headphones.

First of all thanks for the replies! I "need" a 5.1 or 7.1 headset for first-person shooter to see where the enemies are. Once I had a stereo headset from Sennheiser and was really happy with it but unfortunately it was only stereo. time I had sold the headset and wanted to test the Razer Megalodon 7.1 and I must say the 2.0 is quite ok BUT in 7.1 mode sounds like the sound of a can. I think this thing is pure habit. In most games the localization with stereo works perfectly.
