Thread: Is Hard Drive vibration is normal?

I just purchased a new 320GB HD from best buy as well as after I had set up it in my personal computer, I observed a very powerful oscillations. It is hardly sensible but I can definitely experience it when I put my arms on it. This is normal? I do not want the generate to fall short when I am using it.

Might be sensible to have the PC start once when it is operating as well as take a look at it. How can you experience it? On the situation or on the HDD itself?

The oscillations I consult was the one I had sensed when I put on side straight on the disk generate covering. The oscillations can still be sensed outside the PC covering, though this is much more muffled.
