    Hello, All

    Is this possible to disable my touchpad? I have a sony vaio VGN-FW21Z and Windows 7.

    yes it should be in Control Panel
    I have a Vaio VGN - FW31M
    I go and look - watch out for an EDIT to this post

    Goto
    Sony Control Panel in programs Pointing device and disable

    Might also look at clicking the FN key and see if you can disable it from one of the choices at the top of screen.

    What kind of touchpad do you have? Also some drivers dont have the same features as others...its a matter of finding the right driver..then installing it in compatibility mode for vista.

    Did you install the touchpad driver from Sony or are you using one that was provided by Windows 7? I'm guessing the latter; you need to install the proper driver.

    The only thing that I have no driver now is Intel ICH9M LPC Interface Controller - 2919 but I don't think that it has to do with the touchpad.

    I think you should not disable it. It's might be good to just let it running because you might need it if one time come.
