Default Motherboard for Intel Core 2 Duo E8400

I've been appearing for a motherboard for a new scheme I'm going to be constructing with an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 and an EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ Graphics Card. I'd resembling to get a motherboard. That can hold DDR3 Ram (and SLI for the graphics card), but I'd also like to find a motherboard . Anyway, they’re so a lot of motherboard options out there, yet I've been unable to find any information on an actually superior quality motherboard. If anyone could suggest implications and advice I'd be thankful!

Why DDR3 RAM? A Core2 CPU cannot take complete benefit of the DDR3 abilities.

If you desire SLI (as opposed to Crossfire), you are restricted to Nvidia chipsets. That only goes an extensive way toward removing potentials.

Go to newegg, look for on Intel LGA775 motherboards and then search on the nforce 700 north bridge. Within your value limits you have 11 choices. If you want full X16 X 2 SLI, you have about 5 or 6 options.

    None are DDR3.

    It doesn't.

If you desire 2 PCIe gap that function at x16, SLI-only, this is your primary option

ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard.

According to the newegg ad, it doesn't. Two Boxer that would be my foremost option also. But I just wanted to window down the options so he could decide.

Thanks I didn't understand the Core2Duo wasn't actually made for the DDR3, I deduce I just unspecified it was lol. Though, no big contract.

In which case I'll set my sights on DDR2, although...yes the SLI (pretentious SLI is what I think it is) is kind of significant.

Did I miss anything? Well, I'll possibly be relocation once more later today...until then I'll be inspecting out Newegg for the LGA775 boards with the specs you recommend, JSC!

    Thanks again!

Oh, and now that DDR2 is the memory I'll be seeming at, eh...what would you guys advise...for memory?

Yeah I acquired it. I almost certainly would have done the similar. But despite the ideal lead in, he came up with a board not one of the 11.

I was fearful he might really buy it.
