Default Asus P6T Deluxe V2 SATA port numbering

From the subsequent SATA harbors on an Asus P6T Deluxe V2, which one is SATA port 0, 1, 2 and 3? Where does SATA port 0 begin?

Thanks for the photo linkage. Going by the figuring that I can observe on the PC board, the orange connectors are the 2 SAS connectors and the red connectors are the SATA ports. The photo of the SAS/SATA connector area shows that the 2 SATA ports next to the SAS1 and SAS2 docks are SATA3 and SATA4. From earlier photo, it looks like the other two 90-degree SATA ports are SATA1 and SATA2, and the two "normal" SATA connectors are SATA5 and SATA6. Double-check the group on your board.

So centering on the four red ports then to the orange ports - the remaining two are SATA 3 and 4 and the right two (next to the IDE connector) is SATA 1 and 2? In the situation of SATA 1 and 2 (next to the IDE connector), is SATA 1 the port on top or the port right next to the board?

    Thank you.

Stands on the SAS 1 and 2. I would believe the summit is SATA1 and the bottom SATA2 but it might be the other way about.

I have the p6t luxury v2 board. Only dissimilarity is no SAS. So opening from the SAS ports: the two red sata are sata3 (top) 4 (bottom), then sata1 (top) 2 (bottom). The two after that to the Southbridge heatsink is sata 5(top) and 6.

To answer aln688 question, SATA1 starts on the IDE connector surface.

Easy method to perform this. Print out a graphic of your MB. Stop a single SATA drive into any port, blaze it up. Go into BIOS and observe what drive/port it shows. Write it on print out.
