Yes, faulty RAM is a widespread reason of "no video" problems.

I would go after bilbat's proposal of irritating every stick of RAM by itself in the prime RAM slot.

I located a video card on the 8x hole and was equal to acquire a video output. Looks like I may have a bad motherboard 16x slot. Ran memory test, originally with single memory sticks, then all night with both, and got no mistakes at 1.64V.

Have utilized only the inexpensive graphics card I purchased for testing in the 8x slot. I will attempt the gtx260, but I'm fearful that either the 260 is the problem or the power supply as those were the only things in ordinary when I tried them in a different motherboard, which fried that slot as well. Any ideas what the bad part is here? Should I just swap the mob, power supply, and graphics card?

Nice to listen that there's video productivity on the PCI_e x8 slot, go in front and attempt your GTX260 on this hole. In the mean time, is it probable to update both the board and graphic card's BIOS? The PCIe tracks were come near from the processor according to Lynnfield structural intend, I would condition this may be a compatibility matter between board & graphic anyways please effort updating the BIOS primary.

    Hi all

That is a superior point - with all 1156/1366 boards, you in truth want to dote on those BIOS discharges, and keep 'me advanced.
