Default Need help for new CPU and Graphics Card

    Hello everyone,
I've been receiving into gaming recently and I sense like my computer is asset me back. I've acquired a 2.3 GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+, an NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 and 2 GBs of RAM.

I'm viewing about upgrading my CPU and Graphics Card. following browsing Newegg for a small while I came crossways this graphics card and this CPU.

I'm fine with computers however I don't identify much about hardware. Are those costs quite good? I possibly won't be playing anything more graphics-intensive than Fallout 3. Would those be fining sufficient to play Fallout 3 without having to lower the graphics settings over?

Also - is there any reason they wouldn't be well-suited with my computer? I've acquired an Inspiron 531.

Thanks for any assist you can provide me.

    Hi

How much do you desire to use up?

What socket is your mobo (it sounds akin to a 939, and if this is the situation, your current CPU is almost the highest you can leave)?

I'm not the gaming expert about here but I imagine your best gamble is the Radeon HD 4670 1GB. It should draw power from the PCIe slot on your mobo.

Your best probability for a CPU improve is 'slim and none'. Maybe a 95w proc would labor but the over vid card is your best gamble and should execute quite well with your current CPU - the 8400gs card you elected is actually less influential than the current AMD included motherboard graphics.

I'm not actually certain how to discover what kind of socket I have or what a socket is, however from my exploits on Google it appears I have a 939.

Thanks for the graphics card - seems very good, I'll ensure that out for certain.

    Hello everyone!

I read your comments so; I like to give you my opinion.

I consider the Dell Inspiron 531 is AM2.... nVidia 6150 IGP with sb430.

    Hello guys!

The least processor pace for Fallout 3 is 2.4 GHz.

So is Fallout beyond the image then?

Your board may not effort with a 125w CPU. Depart for a 65w 5000 or attempt to choose up one employed in case it doesn't work.

Newegg may have some open box CPU’s scheduled tonight; they run out fast.

    Hi everyone.

As per my experience, I believe that possible a single-core "2.4 GHz" processor. You should be all right through the dual-core x2 4400+.

Yes, the 4670 would be an ideal equal for your CPU.

Between; the 2.4 GHz CPU requisite is known for a p4 CPU, sense approximately. An Athlon 2400 (1.4 GHz) so your CPU is abundance.
