    Default i7 Motherboard guide

    Hi Guys

I bought an ASROCK X58 Extreme mainboard, 3 sticks of 1866 MHz Dominator memory. Now I’m directed employ my present cards that are in my system currently which is 2 ATI 4870's in crossfire and the drives are a Velociraptor and two Black WD 1TBS.

All I perform is play highest leader Forged Alliance and Starcraft 2 when it appeared.

My query is which processor I will place in it.

    When I observe the I7, I see a 950 3.06 GHz. Then the 975 Extreme 3.33 GHz.

I recognize speed is significant for games but would the great be value the extra cash for playing games or would you leave for the 950 and overclock it.

    Hello Friends

I7-920 they do very fine and OC very fine. For the cost dissimilarity, the small knock in presentation you obtain with the 950 and 975 extreme is a profligate squander if you ask me.

My selection as well for the i7 920.

It is very influential CPU and something classier is simply misuse of money.

You can acquire 920 to 975 levels with OC anytime!

    Hi friend,

You told me to acquired 920. This method if you finish up with additional cash you still desire to use, consider an SSD for your OS divider or a better/second GPU. Either of these would create a MUCH bigger difference than a 920 to a 950 or a 975.

This SSD, Would I place the OS and games on it and remain the WD 1 TB's for storage. Also, if I obtained the I7-950 are they superior overclockers similar to the 920.

    Thank you.

Yeah, place OS and games in the SSD.

    For i7-950: It is expensive.

You can obtain improved presentation by using the 920.

    Individually, I akin to the i7 960.

If I were to construct a novel rig, that would be the CPU I'd employ. That or a politely clocked Xeon.

These SSD drives, they are luxurious, but are they actually quick once your into them and playing a game. From what I have interpret they only appear to advance load not. So if I’m playing a game akin to Supcomm F/A then it will load earlier but gameplay will be the similar.

Is that accurate, also I previously have two graphics cards, 2 AMD 4870'S in crossfire.
