I want to buy an ATI Radeon HD 4850 card. How much difference does it make if I go for Asus, XFX,Gigabyte or Palit?

While the underlying archit~cture is the same, different manufacturers apply their own customizations and tweaks to the card. For starters, the design may be different (which can also affect cooling, and hence the overall performance). There may be different amounts and type of RAM; one card may have 512MB of DDR5 RAM while another may have 1 GB of DDR3. Some may offer different outputs like HDMI in addition to DVI, and yet again, you may be able to get some game bundles as well. Bottom line first look at what fits in your budget, and then at the performance by reading up on comparison reviews. Also keep in mind that you will need a fairly powerful SMPS (power supply) to run a HD4850 (at least 650Watts, keeping in mind that you may have several other components and may want to add more later).
