PortQryUI is the graphical edition of the accepted control line utility portqry.exe that started with Windows 2000. It runs on Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP with TCP/IP mounted.

PortQry reports the port status of TCP and UDP ports on a computer that you decide and reports the position in one of three ways.

Listening

A process is taking note on the haven on the computer that you chosen. Portqry.exe received a reply from the port.

Not Listening

No procedure is listening on the aim port on the aim system. PortQry conventional an Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) "Destination Unreachable - Port Unreachable" message back from the aim UDP port. Or if the aim port is a TCP port, Portqry established a TCP acknowledgement packet with the Reset flag place.

Filtered

The haven on the computer that you chosen is being clean. PortQry did not receive a reply from the port. A process may or may not be taking note on the port. By default, TCP ports are question three times and UDP ports are queried one time before a report designates that the port is filtered.

It can be utilized on internal network addresses or outside addresses and DNS names. You can inquiry services such as Web Service or Exchange Service or you can question by ports using TPC, UDP or both.
