Default Having some issues about CPU and need some advice

I first bought the CPU and gpu and then ahead loading games like borderlands UT3 ect, the game would sprint gently sh#%@ then stabilize and look great, then computer would solidify and I would have to solid restart. It never blue screened, never shut itself down.

So I consideration require of power for ma baby, I had an older 400w power supply.

Went to fry's, grounded the new PSU, now it appears that the computer runs faster no doubt, I’ll load games in no time, but 100% of the time, once the game approaches to the normal surroundings of the game... i.e. not the loading cinematic ect, it'll shut itself down. Appears typical of a PSU that is overcome.

Soon as it powers down, I don’t acquire a light from the mobo, and have to unplug the psu and stay a few minutes, plug it in... Switch it on. As you can perceive by this short novel I wrote, it sprints w.o a graphics load just fine. I desire to believe it’s the GPU however; the thing was operating games former today until the new psu.

What mobo do you contain? Sounds like what you’re experiencing is the CPU overheating and you're not placing a real load on it till annoying to load a game. To verify this, download prime95 and run it, observe if it locks up with just a CPU load, no gpu load.

I am considering overheating too, just extra the stick amd cooler reverse to it to the similar benefit. Ptime95 did shut it down, however it shuts down inside minutes of being turned on anyway so it’s quite well a mute test.

Mobo is an msi-7312. When I flash the mobo to newest, I am not 100% it's fully finishing. CPUid is saying it's yet the old bios, however now it knows both cores. I frequently can fix this kind of stuff but this is unlike any issue I have seen, has signs of overheating but is running 32c.

Could the processor just be bad? Appears like it wouldn't yet boot. What about thermal grease? Can over be used? I employ the same amount every time and never had an matter b4.

The mobo gpu major test final longer, acquired to test three but shutdown over, do I recognize it's either power supply or CPU; I'd there a program I can employ to watch CPU temp? At present ac in apartment is on65 with the case open loll; I am operating out of options.

That CPU model is ADX6000IAA6CZ. It’s the older 125w savor. The board will only support the newer ADA6000IAA6CZ. One letter can create all the dissimilarity. You're trying to draw too much wattage during the board and it’s possibly what's shutting down to defend itself from overvolting.

Either a new CPU or new Mobo would be the way to go. If you can send that AGP GPU back, I'd get a new mobo and a more influential GPU for less than what you used up on the 3850 AGP. If you can propel the CPU back too, the Athlon II x2 240 is the similar price and much more influential.

I desire to foreword this by saying I consider what you are saying is legit and has a sound sense after it, however it doesn't clarify the chance shutdowns. =/ which is actually what I am after.

I just place my old processor back into the machine, which I have contained in there for I would utter a good 2 years and I get the similar result. It HAS to be the mobo the power supply or a flippin freak of nature type of object.

It is shutting down in about the similar time border as with the new processor and I recognize the current old one I have is friendly.

After the random shutdowns, I leave directly into the BIOS and check temp, each time I’m receiving 35c so I believe heat is out of the issue. What sounds more probable? The new powersupply being a lemon or the mobo suddenly going out once I additional the hardware?

Anything assists and I thank you for your assist thus far. I believe once I obtain this issue resolved, I will yet have issues with the new processor, but what you can accomplish, maybe I can just at least obtain the old processor to work.

To monitor temps, I'd utilize HWmonitor. It provides over just the CPU temps and perhaps something else will show that can tip to one thing or another.

Since the board has included graphics and the old CPU in it:

1 pulls the 3850 and observes if it reproduces the similar subject using the IGP. Get that out of the equation.

    2. If it yet does the same thing, utilize the old PSU with the included graphics and perceive how that reacts.

    3. If all these mixtures fail in the same manner, the mobo is at fault. I'd attempt to reflash the bios to the former edition and test the system with the unique parts. If it goes away, then the board is fine, but the bios modernize failed. Try to update again and observe if the new parts work that time.

Oh and if it were actually the mobo that is the matter here, isn't it secure to say that it would yet boot up? Comp goes into windows and I can do some belongings, then it crashes, when it does collide, I have to unplug the power cable from the PSU and flip it to off and leave it akin to that for a good 2-3 minutes before... If I just attempt to turn it on, nothing occurs.
