The Microsoft Security Bulletin Advance Notification Service is offered to help consumers of Microsoft products plan for use of security updates and contains information about the number of new security informs being released, the software affected, severity levels of vulnerabilities and information about any detection tools relevant to the informs.
The proceed notification statement also offers information about updated versions of the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool as well as non security, high priority informs on Microsoft Update, Windows Update and Windows Server Update Services.
The advance notification bulletin only provides information about non-security, high-priority updates that are released the same day as the security updates. The bulletin does not provide information about non security informs launched on other days.
The bulletin is usually made obtainable three business days before the regular security update launch on the second Tuesday of the month. Upon launch of the security updates, the bulletin advance notification is restored by the security bulletin summary.
