SOC (system on a chip) is absolutely coming and coming fast. I don't observe the motherboard failing totally, but there's no logical cause you couldn't add more and more of the components on chip as process technology scales down. Picture a chip with on core RAM and "SSD". Perhaps only a issue of time until it exists.

The mobo will be a chip possessor SOC is GPUs chip or duel chip and the electronic hold up for power on a sub itx.

All covered in several kind of heat transfer material that arrives off with heat or solvent. It appears like a hard drive and cooling system akin to a sata desk top hdd possessor.

All right, the main employ for my system is word giving out. I'm trying to become a writer. I could employ a laptop at the house, but would need connecting a keyboard, mouse and a monitor. That or I could just employ my desktop since I would employ a laptop the similar way. I for one in agreement that I would rather have a desktop than a laptop any day. The only time I yet obtain my laptop with me these days is I'm going on vacation. The thing is sitting inside its case since I enthused in this year.

I’m not concerned that portable devices will put back obtainable desktops at all.
Allowing for more size, towers will forever be more powerful and stretchy than laptops. So there will at all times be a market for them.

What I’m worried about is pc building flattering easier. So simple that a grandmother could do it. All color coded, simple lego inputs, no obvious wires etc.
